Separate SCRATCH division qualifier for girls and boys

alongside our regular WYBT events.

Scratch. Teen Masters is a national scratch singles championship event.

Eligibility. To participate in Teen Masters you must meet the following criteria:

• Age. You must be 19 or younger on August 5, 2022.

• Status. You may not be classified as a professional bowler.

Divisions. The 2022 Teen Masters offers singles competition in separate male and female divisions.

Tournament Format. WYBT’s format for it’s qualifier.

• 2-day tournament, using the qualifying games from our regular WYBT events the weekend of 4/23 & 4/24. Participation in the regular WYBT events is required, no entries will be accepted into the Washington Teen Masters Open only.

• 16 games total, 8 on Sat. and 8 on Sun. using the games from Block 1 & Block 2.

• Oil pattern will be a sport rated condition.

• Determining the winners, the male and female with the highest total pin fall across the 16 games will be named the advancers and will receive a paid spot into the Teen Masters North American Championships PLUS free coaching and practice time on the actual oil patterns at the Off Broadway Bowling Academy to prepare for the championships!

Tournament Entry Fees. Onsite, day of the event: $50 in cash

Tournament Bowling Balls. There will be no limit to the number of bowling balls allowed during this qualifier.

During the 2022 North American Championships, participants will be limited to using a single SKILL 3.02 ball. Bowlers may bring two SKILL 3.02 balls, but will have to designate one for tournament competition by the conclusion of their practice session on July 31. Bowlers using balls 13 pounds and lighter may substitute a Storm Mix. No other bowling balls are allowed at the Championships. SKILL 3.02 bowling balls may be purchased on TeenMastersBowling.com for $140, including shipping.

Invitations to the Championships. The top male and top female will earn paid entries into the 2022 Teen Masters North American Championships in Detroit, Michigan. Should the winning boy or girl be unable to participate in the Championships or already possess an entry into the Championships, the entry will be awarded to the next eligible bowler. The Championships entries are not transferable and have no cash value.

Closing Date. Registration for the 2022 Championships and the Last Chance Qualifier close on June 30.

Championships Scholarships. Over $50,000 in SMART scholarships are guaranteed to be awarded at the 2022 Championships regardless of the number of entries. The male and female champions will each earn $5,000 scholarships, while the top 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 year-old boys and girls will each earn a minimum of $500 in scholarships.

Publicity Release. By participating in the Teen Masters, the bowler and his/her parents/guardians acknowledge Killer ‘B’ Promotions’ right to make use of and to permit others to make use of bowler’s name, scores, voice, pictures, photographs and other likeness for any purpose in any manner related to the advertising, broadcast, publication or promotion of Teen Masters.

Authority. Killer ‘B’ Promotions will determine any matters not covered in these rules.
